Nice, I always wanted to be a video games tester because it allows me to get a greater understanding of how video games are created. And it always sounds fun.

Hi,
I live in Salt Lake City, UT. I have been actively searching for a game tester position all over the web and I am seeking a game tester opportunity over here around the Utah area. To my luck, a major game developer has entered my local area and has setup up offices. They have posted numerous job openings for game testers but I am not in any consideration with out experience. How can I get experience if nobody will hire me?????

Micah

Hitoshi Replies: Micah - make sure to grab my free report for potential video game testers - you can sign up for it on this page. It explains exactly what to do in your situation. Also, CALL the offices of the new company up and ask them that very question - they'll more than likely be very helpful. Enjoy - and good luck!

Hey I live in southern New Hampshire and I'm having a hard time finding any game testing assignments around here, the one lead I got the company was going out of business. Do you know of any companies in southern New Hampshire or Northern Massachusetts?

Hi, My names Mike and i play games all day almost everyday, i love the idea of getting paid to play games and discover problems etc. I'm currently considering buying into one of these sites. I understand that i might not get a full time job straight away but that does not bother me. The thing that bothers me is : Am I good enough to be a game tester. To put it straight i have a real passion for gaming, and if there is one career i would like to spend my life doing it would be gaming. I have a GNVQ in IT and obviously have my own Pc. I also have access to all the latest consoles. (Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PS3). Im computer/game literate and feel i need to do something with it. I'm 19 now and have plenty of life to use playing games.

You may be wondering why am i writing this when i should be applying for a job or signing up already, but i need to know if ive got what it takes. Im good at any type of computer game (Believe Me). I might not be the best but no-one can be the best at everything. All i want to do is be in a job i enjoy and that my friend sums up what i want my life story to be.

Please get back to me with some advice.

Dear Hitoshi,

I've been playing video games since as long as i can remember. My brother and I sat infront of the tv and play video games and i would like to pursue being a tester as a way to make some extra cash. Is there anyway that I can do that?

Remembering back in the days when gaming was first taking off. Im talking back in the days of Asteroids, and missle command. The thought of the gaming industry actually being a carrer opportunity was not even a consideration.
Gaming has always been part of my life. Im 42 years old and have spent the last 6 years working 7 days a week running my own business. Talk about a boring job making pizzas and scooping ice cream.
Im at a turning point in my life selling my business, and looking at carrers I can return to school for. Ive seen the computer industry offering a huge variety of careers! Then I came across a sight discussing gaming. I ask myself is this reality? Why not gaming is huge!!
Im playing Disneys Pirates online and am in the top 10 and 100 in numerous leader board areas. Which made me think I have way to much time on my hands! Im returning to college. My question is what would I actually need to take to land a rewarding position, and be part of this awesome industry? thz
